I'm slowly learning a new lesson. It is about my run. I did the aquabike last weekend and felt so strong on the swim and the bike. BUT, it made me start thinking about the run. I have been following my coach's plan, but there isn't a lot of long runs in it. When you hear Ironman talk about their training, you hear them talk about their long runs. Our training doesn't have these extremely long runs in it. It is a "new way" of thinking that benefits someone like me. I have had running injuries before that have lead to the end of my season early. I have to believe the quote above and the advice of my best friend. It's not time to doubt what we've done this far. It's time to keep on trekking. BIG miles are coming.... they are going to be here soon.
