The journey begins next Monday morning...what journey you ask? The words I've been waiting to hear...."JennyLou, You are an Ironman!" I am flying to Wisconsin next weekend to register in person and guarantee my spot at the starting line next September. I plan on riding part of the bike course again next weekend with my training partner, Ludster. He and I are both going to race next year.
I posted his shirt, hat and medal from '07.. It's a small reminder.. of the prize at the end!

I hope you made it back safe and sound. Did you make it safely to your seat on the plane without people bumping into your owies?!
I still feel badly that I bumped your forearm during our La Chicanita dinner last night.
It was fun to see you again, but I'm bummed that you have a recovery ahead of you. You're young, you've got time on your side so take it easy and we'll await your comeback.
